At Catholic High School, learning happens everywhere! Whether it is a part of academics, athletics, citizenship, or personal and spiritual growth, learning happens every day! A vital part of the New Iberia community since 1918, Catholic High, a member of the schools of the Diocese of Lafayette, serves families from Iberia, St. Martin, St. Mary, Vermillion, and Lafayette Parishes.  With the unique configuration of grades 4 through 12 on one campus, CHS provides continuity in its educational program and creates bonds between students, parents, faculty, and administration during the child’s years at the school. Committed to bringing academic excellence and Christ-centered values to its students, Catholic High is dedicated to creating confident, self-directed, lifelong learners who keep Christ at the center of their words and actions.

Carmel Hall is home to our fourth- and fifth-grade students. This energetic section of campus features interactive whiteboards and Chromebook labs in every classroom, with numerous activities geared toward the academic, spiritual, and social development of our youngest students.

St. Peter’s Hall houses classes for our sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. Though they may be “in the middle,” these students do really big things in academics, ministry, athletics, extracurriculars, and much more.

High School students in grades 9 through 12 are quite active in de La Salle Hall. Catholic High offers a wide variety of clubs and organizations, both co- and extracurricular, for high school students in addition to the rigorous curriculum.
