2020-2021 Student Schedules
As with so many things this year, we are learning to do things a little differently. Normally, we would send high school students home with a copy of their course listing for the upcoming school year on Dead Day, before the start of final exams. Middle school students would be sent a letter or email informing them of their potential honors placements as well. We would then open a window for course change requests, which were done via hard copy in the guidance office. This year, however, there was no Dead Day, and providing hard copies is currently strongly discouraged.
Adjusting the timeline for new processes
In our search to accommodate our usual processes, we discovered that there is a possibility of using a custom report from FACTS SIS (formerly RenWeb) to provide students with the listing of their assigned courses. Obtaining this report pushes our deadline back a bit, BUT it will provide us with a simple mechanism for delivering this information going forward, saving time for everyone.
Within the next two weeks, students entering grades 6-12 for the 2020-2021 school year will be able to view their course listing online in FACTS SIS (formerly RenWeb). Parents will also be able to view the listing when it is activated. We will send an email as soon as this information is ready for viewing. In the meantime, we thank you for your patience and understanding. At that time, middle school students will also learn their honors placement in that same course listing.
A form will be provided to students at that time to request a course change should they need to do so. There will be a short deadline for completion.
