Class of 2020 Message 04-30-20
Dear Class of 2020,
The end of this year has not turned out as any of us expected or intended. Your class earned honors and privileges no other has enjoyed before because of the leadership and cooperation you demonstrated. We wanted you to be able to enjoy all the honors and traditions that come with the end of the year as well, and it is our hope to be able to reschedule at least some of these or to plan alternative celebrations when we can be together again in person.
The overwhelming majority of you shared in last week’s survey that more than anything, you wanted your traditional ceremony, even if it meant postponing the ceremony. We will honor that request, and we are currently looking at dates in July. As shared with you in our parent bulletin on Monday, two main factors that impact our decisions: the “Stay at Home” order and the limit on gatherings of over 10 people. We are hopeful that there will be some adjustments to these limitations before May 18, but there will still be parameters that we must follow from the Governor and the Bishop.
As previously stated, we will hold a celebration of the class of 2020 on May 18th. Many of you have shared very creative ideas, and our Development Office has been working to craft a preliminary plan that will make this day special and memorable for all! Once all the details are finalized, we will send those plans to you in email. Please keep May18th reserved and continue to check your email accounts for updates.
Below are a few firm dates we can share now.
We are so proud of the resiliency you have shown time and again. We know you will finish with the strength of character and resolve you have all year. We look forward to seeing you next week!
With Panther Pride and trust in God’s plan for our lives,
Stella J. Arabie, Ed.D.
