Introducing Motivational Mondays
Happy Easter! You have my prayers that you have enjoyed a prayerful, reflective, and rejuvenating Holy Week with your family. I would like to take this moment to thank our Board of Pastors and our Office of Faith and Formation for Holy Week activities and services that guided us to focus on Jesus and the gifts we have received during the Easter season. In the simple words of Psalm 67:7, “The earth has yielded its harvest; God, our God, blesses us.”
As we look towards the end of April and forward to the plans for the end of the academic year, we are aware that the social-emotional well-being of our students is as important as the continuation of our academic learning plan. In order to provide for some additional learning opportunities in this area, we will be instituting 4-day weeks after Easter. Starting Monday, April 13, and extending for the remainder of distance learning, all faculty, staff, and students will have Mondays away from traditional academic learning. We will encourage webinars and reading opportunities for reflection, relaxation, and recuperation. Everyone has worked so hard during this time to make distance learning an extension of the classroom and of the curriculum so that we can be on track in August and our students will not fall behind.
With Panther Pride and trust in God’s plan for our lives,
Stella J. Arabie, Ed.D.
We have created a dedicated page (https://chspanthers.com/new/blog/2020/03/17/covid-19-information/) on our website for updates and tips for families and students during the closure. It includes resources for parents and students, a listing of closure contacts, tips for Chrome, and full details of the CHS Distance Learning Plan.
