Region VI Science Fair Results

On Saturday, February 8th students participated in the UL-Lafayette Region VI Science Fair. Nineteen students representing Catholic High presented their projects! Our students did very well.
In overall competition:
Hallee Mire placed 2nd Runner-up overall projects in the Senior Division.
Spencer Guidry placed 2nd Runner-up overall projects in the Junior Division.
A quick recap of the category awards:
1st place – 5
2nd place -4
3rd place – 4
Additionally,  all 1st and 2nd place finishers will compete at the Louisiana Science & Engineering Fair in March.
Five projects were recognized with special awards:
Alexis Lamm and Aiden Leleux received awards from Gulf Coast Safety & Training.
Mason Ditch, Isabella Valteau, and Spencer Guidry received the Broadcom Masters award which recognizes the top 10 percent of projects in the junior division.
Nine students will attend the Louisiana Science & Engineering Fair in March.
