Familiar Faces Take on New Roles

In addition to the new faculty and staff members that were announced in our summer newsletter, new roles for three of our familiar faces on campus will bring excitement and energy to a new year.

We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Erin Breaux Henry will join our Administrative Team as the administrator in charge of Student Affairs and Communications. She will also serve as the building level administrator in the Elementary building. She is a veteran educator of 22 years with advanced training in multiple areas. She is a graduate of 1992 and has one son, Connor, who is a 2014 graduate, and a daughter, Natalie, who will be a junior this academic year.  I am confident that Mrs. Henry will strengthen our Administrative Team, bringing specific experience and expertise in the areas of Elementary education, Educational Technology, Professional Development, and Facilities.

Ms. Tabitha LeBlanc Maillet has served as a member of our science and mathematics departments for the last two years while assisting with school technology needs, especially in the area of our high school 1:1 program. She also founded our first ever Robotics team. It is only fitting she assume the title of Technology Coordinator. Her duties will include oversight of our Chromebook programs as well as training students and faculty in educational technology usage. Ms. Maillet is a 1985 graduate of MCA and the mother of five young adults, four of whom are CHS alumni: Christina (2003), Brittany Courville (2004), Jennifer (2006), and Scott (2008). Her competent leadership and technical skillset will ensure a smooth transition as well as continued progress and innovation in these areas.

Additionally, Father Alexander Albert, pastor of St John the Evangelist Church in Jeanerette, will remain a part of our school family in the role of School Chaplain.  The Chaplain will provide spiritual support and guidance to students, faculty, and staff.  In this new role, Fr. Albert will focus on liturgical formation and pastoral direction.
