In keeping with the theme of the early Native American tribes that eighth graders have been studying, students created their own “Istrouma” or totem pole that they used to represent their life. The students enthusiastically decorated their totem poles and did an exceptional job. Mr. Kirsten Thibodeaux wanted to share with you a few photos of the students creating their totem poles and of the final products.

Learning the Scientific Method in Coach Erin’s Class: Sixth graders formed hypotheses and conducted observations of an experiment to determine what happens when soap touches milk. The effects are really cool when food coloring is present!
