Student Responsible Use Policy Reminders

 In News

At registration, all CHS families were reminded of our Responsible Use Policy, which governs student use of technology.  Levels of offenses are now aligned with our cell phone policy (see pg. 50-53 in our school handbook for full details).  Here are a few excerpts we felt were important to share:

School and network administrators and their authorized employees monitor the use of information technology resources and may use data found on the school’s information networks to further the health, safety, discipline, or security of any student or other person or to protect property.

Consequences will be assigned according to the severity of the offense. Repeat offenders will be assigned the disciplinary action for the next highest level of offense. Habitual offenders face additional disciplinary measures at the discretion of Administration and/or legal action and prosecution by the proper authorities.

No warning will be issued for RUP violations. Any student who chooses to violate the Responsible Use Policy will receive consequences as outlined in our school handbook.
