Taylor Scholar Awards Distributed This Week

 In Academics

The Taylor Scholar Awards is in its 22nd year on a statewide basis. Students who earn at or above a 2.5 GPA by the end of the 3rd grading period receive free memberships to Louisiana’s finest museums and attractions. Over 220,000 students in the 7th – 12th grade will receive recognition for their grades from the program this year.

Congratulations to the 449 Catholic High students from the 7th – 12th grade who received this award!

Students who earned at least a 2.5 – 2.9 cumulative GPA at the end of the 3rd quarter will receive a Student certificate for a free one-year membership to the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium, and the New Orleans Museum of Art. We have 116 students who have earned this award.

If a student earned a 3.0 GPA and above by the end of the 3rd quarter they receive a Scholar certificate with a free one-year membership to the Audubon Zoo in addition to the other attractions named above. We have 333 students who have earned this award.

This membership award encourages students to maintain at least a 2.5 GPA each year with the goal of completing the TOPS Program by their graduation year.

Please contact Mrs. Patrice Williams (pwilliams@chspanthers.com) if you have any questions about this award.
