Campus Ministry 2018-2019

 In News

As you may know, the Catholic High School mission statement reads –  “Catholic High, New Iberia … dedicated to the development of 4th – 12th grade students through academic excellence and Christ-centered values rooted in caring discipline, compassion, and zeal.” In keeping with this statement, a final decision has been made in the matter of the redesign of our Campus Ministry program. An intent of this restructuring is to broaden the areas of ministry on our campus and give all students who have a heart for ministry the opportunity to serve.  For the 2017-2018 school year, Campus Ministry will be an extracurricular club that is comprised of multiple branches of ministry:  Retreat Team, Service, Liturgical, Music, Mentoring.  Students are welcomed and encouraged to participate in more than one branch of service.  While there are additional areas in which ministry is needed, these are the areas that we will start with in the inaugural year of our redesign

Please look for more information from the following faculty members over the next few weeks if you are interested in servant leadership as part of campus ministry:

(Available for any Juniors or Seniors)

Retreat Team and Service Staff – Mrs. Lacey Sonnier

(Available for all grade levels 9th – 12th)

Service – Mr. Bo Belanger, Mrs. Rachel Landry, Dr. Stella Arabie

Liturgical – Sister Mary Magdalene

Music – Ms. Maria Stegall

Mentoring – Mr. Kevin Judice and Mrs. Ashley O’Connor

Pro-Life – Mr. Terry Roussel

We would like to thank all of you for your active participation as we embark on this new and exciting journey together.  We encourage you to make prayerful decisions on how you would like to share your God-given gifts and talents as part of our school community.  Please let us know if you have any questions or if you have any creative ideas on how to make this redesign a wonderful success for all of the Catholic High family as we strive to fulfill our school mission and honor the traditions set forth by St. John the Baptist de la Salle and the Sisters of Mt. Carmel.

Sincerely,

CHS Administration and Faculty
