CHS Mastery Prep Boot Camp for ACT
One of our goals at Catholic High is to help our students improve their ACT scores. In addition to offering ACT testing here at CHS, providing in-class test prep, and following a college readiness curriculum, we know that one of the proven ways of achieving our goal is through out-of-school boot camps that give students strategies, basics, and practice a few days before the test.
We have conducted successful boots camps in past summers, but often students were not able to afford the cost of the camp or could not participate in a four-day session. Therefore, we are trying something new this year. We have paired with Mastery Prep who will conduct a one-day intensive face-to-face boot camp for our students going into grades 10-12 or our current seniors who would like some last minute help before the June test. The camp will be conducted on May 31, at a cost of $100 per student. It will be held at CHS in the high school wing, beginning at 8:00 am and ending at 3:00 pm. Students are to bring their lunch and any snacks. Practice materials will be provided. The camp will be conducted by employees of Mastery Prep; however, CHS administration and guidance will be here as well.
Registration is easy and through the Mastery Prep online enrollment form that you will find on the link on the attached flyer or by going straight to the link here: CHS Mastery Prep Boot Camp. Payment to Mastery Prep is done through Eventbrite using your credit card. Once on the site, click on Tickets to register. Mastery Prep?s cancellation policy is stated on the site, just in case you need it. Registration deadline is NO LATER than May 15, but we really would like to know by the end of April if we have enough student participants to assure the camp. We need a minimum of 20 students.
Even if your child plans to take the ACT later than the June test, we still encourage this intensive skill practice. Once the camp is complete, we would certainly like your feedback for us to see if this is a good route to take. We are always seeking the best ways to improve.
We are excited to offer this new opportunity for our students! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us in the guidance office.
