Catholic High Art Students Earn Awards at LJA Art Show

The 46th Annual Les Jeunes Amies Art Show was held on Saturday, March 11, at the Lopresto Building. The goal of  LJA Art Show is to encourage youngsters to develop an appreciation for art and to allow them the opportunity to express themselves through their own artwork. Elementary through high school art students are allowed to participate.  The art work is categorized into 4 different age groups and 8 different categories and evaluated by a panel of judges.

Catholic High Art I and Art II students earned the following awards:

Wildlife:
Honorable Mention, Jack LeLeux
First Place, Capri Boutte

Still Life:
Honorable Mention, Jamie Bertrand
First Place, Tiffany LeBlanc

Landscapes:
Second Place, Jamie Bertrand

Figurative Art:
First Place, Gabrielle Broussard

Abstract Art:
First Place, Lauren Mixon
